About us
Students’ Scientific Association OKTAN is the association of the Lodz University of Technology students with an interest in science and research. We are crazy about science and new technology. Each member of a group is a specialist in his or her field ( sometimes in very strange area) but we all together work like one organism.
The aim of the Association is to boost skills of every member, to maintain and develop the university’s scientific potential and to facilitate students' research and their integration into the education and research community. We do our own projects ( individual or group) , which helped us take part in various international competitions. We also take part in many events, form promotional and information campaigns to students and international conference.
From 2013 we have taking part in Chemcar Competition all over the world. We have stared form Chemcar 2013 in Germany, then in 2014 in Chem-E-Car in the USA an Indonesia, and in 2016 in Germany, the USA and Australia. If you like to know more about it, click on Chemcar bookmark.

Our tasks
- attracting students to scientific activities starting from the very beginning of their university studies
- learn new members new technology (3D printer) and same technical and soft skills
- developing students' creativity in profession through research and competitions
- arranging scientific and organizational help with the members' independent search
- take part in research works competitions, conferences, research internships, publication options, etc.
- attracting students to innovative activities
- integration with studends and the graduate form Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering
As a result of a constructive cooperation, members of the Association gain deep professional knowledge, analytical and presentation skills which significantly increase their competitiveness in the labour market. Our graduates are always ranked very high and now they are changing the world.
