Finally, our ChemCar Team decided to leave Europe and move to the USA. The Chem-E-Car Competition is a contest held by AlChE, an association of chemical engineers.
 

We decided to go back to our routes, and this is how the next vehicle powered by hydrogen peroxide came into existence. However, to avoid boredom we chose to carry out a catalyst reaction, with silver and platinum decomposing hydrogen peroxide. Steam generated by the reaction is transferred though a cable to the steam engine that powers our vehicle.
 

Here, in comparison to the German edition, competition was more numerous. Of all the teams, ours was the only one from Europe. Our project was appreciated by the jury, which awarded us the “Most Creative Drive System” prize.
